On the 11th of October 2026, our Swamy, had conducted an upanyAsam and Intense Q&A for the bhAgavathas of the udumalaip pEttai (udumalai), thiruppUr district, at the Sri bhU neelA samEtha navaneetha Krishnan Sannidhi on the most important aspects of being SrivaishNavas. Swamy broadly presented 3 things to do and 3 things to not do and elaborated on those in detail, followed by Q&A in two sessions.

Important Takeaways from Swamy’s divine lecture – Swamy shed light on some very important topics and one of those being the conduct of a Sri Vaishanava. Some very important highlights of that were what are the DO’s & DONT’s for a Sri Vaishnava as follows:

3 things (To-Do):
1.⁠ ⁠Develop firm faith in the Vedas and follow one’s swadharma as ordained by shAsthram for one’s varna and Ashrama since it’s pleasing to bhagavAn only when one does one’s own ordained duties. Only by pleasing bhagavAn we can ourselves be happy (even if we want that). We don’t even realize that this samsaram itself is the biggest suffering and perpetually end up here, losing opportunity for Nithya kainkaryam.
2.⁠ ⁠⁠SrivaishNavas should perform thiruvArAdhanam to perumAl at their own homes daily and accept only prasAdam as part of the culmination of thiruvArAdhanam process. Other than those foods offered to bhagavAn we aren’t supposed to put anything into our mouth. Since as per bhagavAn himself as he said in gIthA, we are only consuming pApam through such uncontrolled unoffered and whimsical consumption. This extends to even new clothes we wear, we first offer to bhagavAn and then wear or drape them for ourselves as prasAdam.
3.⁠ ⁠We should dedicate at least one and half hour per day and even more if possible to study sampradAya granthams of our pUrvAchAryas in kAlakshepam format so that we constantly be reminded like a tap on our back to follow with conviction and right understanding of principles.

3 things (To NOT-Do):
1.⁠ ⁠Once surrendered to bhagavAn through the process of panchasamskaram with the kindness of a sadhAchAryan doing it for us, one MUST live like a sharaNagatha and be a strong pathivrathA – by not having absolutely any connection/relation to/ affection for any devathAntharam and must not get involved in related activities. The anya dEvathAs which repeatedly get inflicted by rajO and thamO gunams behave as though they are masters themselves while actually bhagavAn is the only paradhaivam, supreme. So one must strictly not have any devathAnthara sambandham, even if they forget perumal sometimes they shouldn’t stand in front of other dEvathAs seeking anything from them.
2.⁠ ⁠We must not seek interests in vishayAntharams (matters unrelated to bhagavAn, bhAgavathAs and kainkaryams etc) like material pursuits and envy for such success etc losing time energy etc ending up earning through wrongful means etc. One should do just as much needed for one’s sustenance and if immediate cessation of working is not possible in the view of one’s responsibilities one should be atleast eager to come into full time kainkaryam at the earliest possible opportunity.
3.⁠ ⁠Bhagavatha apacharams need to be avoided. We should be respectful in our conduct and dealings with other bhAgavathAs regardless of their material designations like caste wealth position etc.

After the upanyAsam, many bhAgavathAs carried out the divine kainkaryam of setting up the books on display at the venue when many bhAgavathAs have obtained copies of these timeless treasures through Swamy’s Srihasthams and also by other bhAgavathAs. A few pics are being shared below.
